Issues
There are several issues facing the Development that the Association is currently working on resolving:
Roads
Many of the roads within the Development are currently in a state of
disrepair. The Association has been
undertaking on its own to repair the roads within the Development, however the
availability of funds is hampering the Association's progress.
Covenants
Based on feedback received from the vast majority of lot owners, the
Association is seeking to have two of the covenants governing construction
within the Development changed - the covenant that deals with the size of the
buildings that can be constructed, and the other that prohibits the building of
fences.
Outstanding Dues
Despite several efforts by the Association to correct the problem, there
remains a high percentage of Lots within the Development for which there are
outstanding dues, many in excess of $5,000. This is having a significant
negative impact on the operations of the Association, particularly with respect
to dealing with the "Roads" issue listed above. The Association is now resorting
to legal means to recover these outstanding dues.
For any Lot within the Development, the current owner of the Lot is responsible for any outstanding dues on the Lot. If you are interested in purchasing a Lot in Fort Jeudy, it may be in your best interest to ensure that any outstanding dues on the Lot are dealt with during the conveyance process.
